IRISH GUARD and ROYAL SCOTTISH REGIMENT

If you ever visited Edinburgh Castle during early September, you
have witnessed the unforgettable spectacle of the “Tattoo,” featuring
Pipes and Drums of the Royal Scottish Regiment. Here they are
joined by the Irish Guard in a colorful and rousing display of
music and military pageantry.

SARAH CHANG

Sarah Chang, violin, performs a program of violin works by Brahms,
Theofandis and Franck. Sarah Chang has played with most of the
world’s leading orchestra’s since her debut with both the New York
Philharmonic and the Philadelphia Orchestra when she was eight
years old. Her album “Debut,” released when she was ten, reached
the Billboard chart of classical best-sellers. Among many other
awards, she is the youngest person ever to receive the Hollywood
Bowl’s Hall of Fame Award. |

CABARET

Set in Berlin in 1931, on the eve of the Nazis’ rise to power,
19-year old English singer Sally Bowles falls in love with an American
writer named Cliff. When “Cabaret” opened on Broadway in 1966,
it won seven Tony Awards and ran for 1165 performances. The revival
in 1998, with new musical numbers added, ran for 2377 performances.
This is your chance to see its one performance in Santa Fe.

BALLET FOLKLORICO DE MEXICO

Founded in 1952 by Amalia Hernandez to preserve and disseminate
the rich traditions and folklore of Mexico, Ballet Folklorico de
Mexico has earned over 200 awards for its fast-paced and colorful
pageant celebrating the riches of Mexican culture and history.
Traditional music, elaborate dance and ornate costumes combine
to create a stunning performance.
